The band hails from Sweden, and they’ve got that Nordic culture in their blood—you can hear it in every note of this song. It’s not just about being from Sweden though—it’s about crafting great music that’s truly unique and stands out from the rest of the pack.
In their previous release 17 Birds At The Summer’s Gate, they brought some great tracks to life, including Suck, which you should check out as well.

Autorub‘s new single Oh Marjorie is the perfect song for your next road trip. It’s got a classic rock sound and a modern twist, but it’ll have you singing along to the lyrics in no time.
This soft rock single has all the elements of an instant classic: catchy vocals, an unforgettable melody, and lyrics that will make you want to hug your best friend. The repetitive title on the lyrics is not a problem at all.
If you’re looking for something new to listen to while you’re driving around town or hanging out with friends, Autorub is definitely worth checking out. Additionally, check out their track Radicalize, it’s a mix of soft rock with electronic synth effects, which we loved.

If you’re a fan of alternative melodic soft rock, you may enjoy NEVER CAN TELL‘s sound. They’re an indie band from Copenhagen, Denmark, and their latest album is called Sorry I’m Late!
The 10-track record has a classic sound that’s reminiscent of the 80s—but with a modern twist. The male vocals are especially strong on this album, which features a mix of soft rock, alternative rock, and indie melodic pop rock.
The first song on the album is “Vision Of The Dark” which I enjoyed a lot. It’s got an anthem-like quality that will get stuck in your head for days and leave you humming along as you go about your day.
Another good choice is “Good Vibes”, which showcases some more of those strong male vocals alongside explosive guitar riffs that complement them perfectly.
If you’re looking for something to listen to and wave your head—or just chilling at home on a summer day—this album is worth checking out! Don’t forget to visit their website and follow the band on Spotify.
4) THE BANQUETS – Two Little Acorns
The Banquets is a folk rock band from Leeds, United Kingdom. They have just released their latest single, “Two Little Acorns,” which is an indie pop tune with a breezy feel and an easy-listening vibe.
The song features both male and female vocals that blend together to create a smooth soundscape for the listener. There’s also some great guitar work on this track, which fits nicely with the lyrics about growing up and taking care of yourself as an adult.
This is a great tune for those who love singer-songwriters like Feist or Regina Spektor but also want something more upbeat than what you might hear on your average folk album.
The Banquets’ music can be found on Spotify. Check them out if you enjoy folk rock or indie soft rock artists like Mumford & Sons or Florence + The Machine. Don’t forget to visit their website, watch their music video and follow them too.
5) ELLA HAYES – Colour Me In
ELLA HAYES is a singer-songwriter from the UK, who has released her first EP on Spotify, Colour Me In.
This 6-track collection of songs is a mix of classic soft rock and soulful R&B. The album has a retro feel that brings to mind classic British culture, but with a contemporary twist.
Ella’s voice is soothing and easy to listen to; I could see this music playing in a cinematographic series or at a posh party. The lyrics are relatable, too—I’m sure many people can relate to wanting to be someone else for a little while.
White Lines is our favourite, but you have much more to explore. If you like ELLA HAYES’ music, I highly recommend visiting their website and following them on Spotify!
6) GAZ – Happy Girl
GAZ is a Spanish indie rock band with a classic sound. Their new single, “Happy Girl,” is the perfect song for a summer day.
It’s got an upbeat rhythm and blues vibe that will have you dancing in no time. The retro guitar riffs also remind us of a time when rock music was just beginning to take shape—a time when it was still raw and exciting before it became so over-produced and polished.
The singer’s voice is warm and smooth, almost like honey pouring over your ears as he croons out lyrics about love and happiness. We can also say that the band could make it possible to blend a soft rock vibe with a hint of heavy metal. We really loved the mix!
It’s the kind of song that makes you want to kick off your shoes and dance around your living room—or maybe go outside and meet someone special! Check it out, visit their YouTube channel and follow them on Spotify.
7) RICH CHAMBERS – You’re A Nice Guy But
If you’re into retro pop rock, check out RICH CHAMBERS. This Canadian-based artist has a classic sound that will be right up your alley.
He has just released his new single “You’re A Nice Guy But” and it’s the perfect song to listen to while having fun with friends or enjoying a nice day outside. The singer knows what he is doing as he has got tracks with about 1.2 million plays on Spotify alone. Genius!
The song starts off with some retro guitar riffs and some spoken word style lyrics, before breaking into a catchy chorus that is sure to get stuck in your head.
If you’re looking for an anthem to sing along with your friends, this is definitely it. The band has a retro sound but still manages to keep things fresh and exciting by adding some modern touches here and there. The lyrics are also super catchy which makes the entire thing feel like an instant hit!

8) THE VONICS – The World Can Wait
THE VONICS are a pop rock band hailing from the United Kingdom and releasing their latest EP, “The World Can Wait”. The album is six tracks of alt-rock music that gives off a classic sound similar to artists like U2 or Coldplay.
The EP opens with “Nothing To Gain” which has an upbeat tempo that gets you ready to listen to the rest of the album. “Hypinotic” has a great pop beat that makes it easy to dance along with while still having some great guitar riffs and vocals that make it stand out from other pop rock artists.
The next track on this EP is “Sing The Blues Alway” which is another favourite of mine because it starts off slow but then picks up in pace as it goes along. It reminds me of U2’s early stuff like Boy or War with that classic sound but then adds some modern elements like synthesized drums and guitar riffs. It’s super fresh but with a deliciously retro style.
The other tracks, all of them, are worth checking because it follows suit with songs like U2 or Coldplay by having a classic sound but still having an indie rock vibe to it while also having electronic elements. Check it out, visit their website and follow them on Spotify!

10) 9 O’CLOCK NASTY – I’m Bent
There’s something inherently cool about musicians who are just trying to make music because they love it, and not for fame or get mainstream-plastic.
9 O’CLOCK NASTY‘s song I’m Bent is a perfect example of this. The single has an almost lo-fi aesthetic, but it’s unmistakably garage rock.
The vocals are delivered by a male vocalist who has a classic sound that is reminiscent of the UK rock n roll culture of the 1960s and 1970s. The lyrics have an anthem-like quality that makes you want to sing along with them, even if you don’t know all the words yet (which you will).
There’s something so refreshing about hearing new artists who are creating their own sound without trying too hard or following trends; this is one of those bands.
Their sound generally brings influences like Nirvana, AC/DC, The Pixies, Led Zeppelin, and other iconic artists from yesteryear—and there’s no doubt they’ll be around for many more years to come! Check it out, visit their website and follow them on Spotify.
