This cross-genre music taste is why We have put together some cool playlists which have most songs from my favourite albums from the alternative rock scene
There are a lot of great bands out there. Some have been around for decades, while others have only just started to make their mark on the music scene. But what’s really special about these bands is that they’re all independent. That means they don’t have the backing of a major label—they’re just doing it all on their own, and they’re doing it better than almost anyone else!
This week we’re going to talk about some of our favourite alternative rock, industrial rock, and hard rock bands that are making waves in the industry right now. If you haven’t heard them yet, don’t worry—we’ll give you some information about them so that you can get a sense of what kind of music they make and where it fits into the alt-rock scene as a whole.
We’ll also take some time to discuss why it’s so important for us as listeners to support independent artists—whether through buying their music or simply talking about how great they are with your friends who might not know about them yet!
1) HE DIDNT – Loop Ritual
When you listen to He Didn’t‘s Loop Ritual EP, it’s clear that this artist is not trying to be anyone else. He’s taken the best elements of black metal, heavy metal, industrial metal, post-metal, drone and alternative rock and woven them into a sound that is wholly his own.
A solo artist influenced by slow metal, post-punk, and industrial atmospheres, ”He Didnt” is releasing his third release with Square Ears as a solo artist. In this album, we find a single-minded exploration of repetition and loops.
Accompanied by heavy guitars scorched across a wide spectrum, as if Seattle guitarists Earth had found themselves in a dark place within themselves that had combined into one Godless, electrified entity.
“Open Dust Loop” is the final track of the Loop Ritual EP, which is set for release on the 7th of April. There are six minutes of brooding saturation that will engulf any listener within its grasp over the course of its duration.

The entire album takes listeners on a journey through alternative rock, indie rock, hard rock, classic rock and more—all while maintaining an overall mellow tone and feel throughout the entire record.
Ranging from indie music to electronic music, it is this sensibility that has culminated in his most prolific, detailed and moving work that has been released so far.

3) COCONUT SHY – The Finest Day
COCONUT SHY, a Melbourne-based alt-folk band has been making waves with their single, The Finest Day, released on April 7th.

Coconut Shy is extremely proud of the song ‘The Finest Day’ which is one of the finest examples of what Coconut Shy is trying to achieve with his music: combining the delight of the six-stringed instrument with the insight of the genuine, meaningful lyrics he writes for the song.

4) CAGRI RAYDEMIR – Black Or White
CAGRI RAYDEMIR is a Germany-based alternative rock singer-songwriter who hails from Munich. He has crafted an EP titled Black Or White, which he released in April of this year.
The EP takes us back to something reminiscent of grunge music—just with better production quality—with heavy guitars and drums that make you want to get up and dance around your living room while listening to it on repeat all day long.
This EP is a step forward in CAGRI RAYDEMIR’s career as an artist. With each song, he explores different elements of his sound and style, while still managing to maintain a cohesive feel throughout the album.
The EP is a mix of alternative rock, bluesy indie rock and prog rock. It’s experimental in nature with general European culture and art-rock influences. The songs are sung by a male vocalist that clearly knows what he’s doing.
I’ve had this EP on repeat for days now, and it’s been playing non-stop in my head since the first time I heard it. Check it out for yourself and visit their website, or follow them on Spotify. Check out our entire playlist which this artist and some other great are included!
5) THE BELLWETHERS – Of The Stars
It has been said that Phoenix, like the mythological bird, has seen a number of bands come and go in the desert valley. From the ashes of musical acts stretching from the east coast to all the way to the West, The Bellwethers rose to fame.
As a result of the combination of the lyrical alchemy of Fran and KZ Scianna, the Alt-Rock and Blues guitar sorcery of Bill Stimson, along with the tribal, soulful beats and rhythm of Corey Plueard and Dan Scianna, The Bellwethers create a sound spell book that captivates and captivates audiences no matter how small or large they are.
The band has continued to add to their sonic cauldron, working with GRAMMY-award-winning producer and engineer Andrew Coleman, to further develop their sound.
Their latest single “Of The Stars” is a very catchy tune that features great instrumentals from all members. The song has a very classic sound while still being exciting and new. It’s the kind of tune that will bring you back to the good old days when rock music ruled the airwaves.
The Bellwethers website offers more information about the band and its members and follows their Spotify. Check out our entire playlist which this artist and some other great are included!
6) NEVE BOWEN – Deep Blue Ocean
NEVE BOWEN is a young, female artist from London who is making waves in the indie rock scene.
Originally from London, the 19-year-old singer-songwriter is set to release her second single entitled Deep Blue Ocean on the 14th of April. The track is taken from her upcoming ‘Lifeline’ EP and comes after her critically acclaimed debut single entitled ‘Song For Anna’.
Neve Bowen unveils her signature atmospheric vocals on her sophomore album Deep Blue Ocean as she blends Americana influences and New Wave influences.
Lyrically, the song is about living with anxiety and follows the whole ethos of the entire EP, which is to provide a raw and honest approach to dealing with mental health challenges.
It’s not easy to find someone who can straddle these different genres—especially when they’re all as different as classic rock, indie rock, alt-rock and pop—but NEVE BOWEN does just that effortlessly.

7) TJ DOYLE – Meant To Be Together
TJ DOYLE is an American singer-songwriter from Altadena, California. He has been able to combine the genres of Americana, AOR, rock pop, power pop, and soft rock in his music.
His single Meant To Be Together is a power-pop track that has an easy listening feel to it. It is a great song for those who are looking for something upbeat with a classic sound.
‘Shine’ was the 35th single release, which was also involved in radio promotion, and reached #7 on the AC Top 40 Charts, #9 on the Top 40 Charts, and #12 on the Hot 100 Charts. This is the second song prepared for radio promotion.
The production quality is superb which complements TJ DOYLE’s vocals well since they sound clear and crisp throughout the song’s duration.
But what really sets this song apart from others in its genre is its lyrics. They’re sweet without being overly sentimental or corny; it might sound clichéd, but sometimes clichés are true because they speak straight to your heart—and that’s exactly what happens here!

8) AARON ABRAMOWITZ – Funny Little Dream
Aaron Abramowitz, an indie-pop singer-songwriter based in New York City, has been working hard to create his own brand of melodic pop rock.
He is the mastermind behind Funny Little Dream, an album filled with catchy melodies. There is a hearty piano centre to the song ‘Funny Little Dream,’ making it a genre-bending album.
As an artist who has drawn inspiration from everything from Billy Joel to Fleet Foxes, Phoebe Bridgers, and even Barry Manilow, Aaron Abramowitz has created a smorgasbord of alternative rock that is sure to delight listeners across the board.
His voice is strong enough to carry the melodies without being overly powerful or over-the-top; instead, it’s just soft enough that listeners can easily get lost in the music and forget about their problems for a few minutes at least.
I highly recommend checking out this artist if you’re looking for some new music to add to your collection. Follow his Spotify. Check out our entire playlist which this artist and some other great are included!

Down South Pepper band, with The Funny Part, has released a brand new and catchy country song from the northernmost part of the world – the northernmost part of the world. This is just another melodious tune from the north that is worth listening to.
Their single, “The Funny Part,” is a perfect example of what makes them so fun to listen to: it’s catchy and upbeat, but it also has a nostalgic edge that makes it feel like you’ve been transported back in time.
In this new single from the band, you’ll hear a classic rock sound mixed with soft rock elements that are sure to have you singing along in no time.

10) JOEL RIVENDELL – Stream
We’re always on the lookout for new music, and we recently came across Australian-based singer-songwriter Joel Rivendell. His single ‘Stream’, is a great example of what we love to hear.
Blue-eyed soul, pop, contemporary pop, soft rock, indie pop, singer-songwriter band, power pop, art pop, alternative pop, contemporary soul and soul.
There is something enigmatic about Stream. In fact, that song is enigmatic by design. It is one of those pieces of artistic expression that are best left to the audience to draw their own conclusions. An audience may be able to find something personal or meaningful to them in the lyrics, themes, or mood of the song.
We love the way this song puts you in a contemplative mood—you’ll want to sit back and just listen to it. The lyrics are relatable and catchy; you’ll find yourself singing along with them before you know it.
